Facebook Tops Mobile Internet Usage in Europe
Facebook is the top smartphone destination in Europe, as the company makes inroads on its evolving mobile strategy.
The Palo Alto, Calif.-based social network is now among the top three mobile messaging platforms in Europe and is poised to be a major destination for watching video clips, according to a study by CCS Insight. Facebook's popularity goes well beyond social networking, with its Messages, Chat and Photos features as some of the most popular mobile services across Europe.
"Facebook is fast becoming the default destination for all things mobile," said Paolo Pescatore, director of applications and content at CCS Insight.
